About the Co-op

The Humansdorp Co-operative is an agriculture co-operative, based in Humansdorp, South Africa, which was established in 1944. Its Head Office is located in Humansdorp, adjacent to Jeffreys Bay and approximately 90 km from Port Elizabeth. It has been referred to as The Co-op/Die Koöperasie since 2013 when its trademark was registered accordingly.

Originally created as a milling company to support local grain farmers, it has since developed to provide support to all farming disciplines and is regarded as one of the biggest co-operatives in the country. There are 30 commercial branches and 13 specialised depots in SA.

One such specialist service offered by The Co-op revolve around firearms, ammunition and equipment for the discerning hunter, sport shooter and gun collector. The Firearms & Ammunition Department offers a wide variety of firearms and related products.
